Dr. Güneş Ünüvar is Counsel at WOUD Law, advising on international investment law, space law, public international law, and disputes arising out of state regulation. His practice focuses in particular on ADR/arbitration and advisory work connected to foreign investor–host state disputes, including matters involving regulatory change, public policy measures, and state conduct affecting cross-border investments.

Alongside his role at WOUD Law, Güneş is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Law at the University of Exeter (as of June 2026). He previously served as a Senior Researcher at the University of Luxembourg, where he was affiliated with the Luxembourg Centre for European Law. He was also a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg.

He regularly advises space companies and startups in Luxembourg and across Europe on regulatory, investment, and dispute-related issues. He also regularly speaks and lectures at international conferences and universities on international economic law, EU law, and space law and policy. He is the author and editor of several books and peer-reviewed publications on international investment law and space law.
